• January – Set Up Monthly Donations for 2011
  Set it and forget it! Don't leave your giving to the last minute next year. Set up monthly donations to your favourite causes now and spread the giving throughout the year. Your New Year’s Resolution starts here: www.CanadaHelps.org
  
  
• March – CBT Community Initiatives & Affected Areas Program
  Since 1998, $1.4 million of Community Initiatives & Affected Areas funds have been used by community groups to help fund their projects. Organizations are invited to download and apply for grants through the Town of Golden’s website, www.golden.ca.
  
  
• June – Golden Secondary School Graduation
  Congratulate all local high school graduates and the recipients of the locally-fundraised scholarships and bursaries.
  
  
• September – Funders’ Forum
  For the non profits, this special presentation is a chance for local groups to learn about new fundraising and grant programs. Organizations that have a project in the works and are looking for external support are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting.
  
  
• September – Not For Profit Connection
  Get involved.  Get active.  Give back.  Learn about Kicking Horse Country’s non-for-profit organizations.  Register for community programs – from arts to sports and community service.
  
  
• October – Community Grants Program
  The GDCF’s and GYOC’s Community Grants Programs Applications are available for local charitable projects.
  
  
• December – Holiday Giving Campaign
  As the year draws to an end and in the spirit of giving, make a gift beyond the season. Online gifts can be made in the name of a loved one through www.CanadaHelps.org. December 31st is the CRA’s donation deadline for current year charitable tax receipts.
