Launched the 2017 Vital Signs report with a community engagement session. This report is used as a tool to guide decision making for our Community Grants Program and the CBT’s CIP/AAP grants program administered by the Town of Golden.
Welcomed two new directors to the board, Alycia Weir and Bernie Heuvelman.
Received a significant grant from the Columbia Basin Trust’s CIP/AAP program to implement our Foundation Development for Community Impact project.
The Foundation’s Whitetooth Affordable Ski Program supported the opportunity for all Grade 4 and 5 students to learn and ski at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.
Announced a new endowment fund, the Peter Bowle-Evans Community Volunteer Award Fund, with a fundraising target of $5,000. We exceeded that goal by $2,100!
The Foundation hired a new Executive Director.
Hosted the second annual Jane’s Walk in partnership with the Golden Museum and the Town of Golden.
The Foundation encouraged the community to participate in the Great Canadian Giving Challenge.
More than $14,000 was provided to Golden Secondary School graduates in Foundation scholarships.
Launched our new website, aided by the generous support of the Columbia Basin Trust.
Made preparations for fall community outreach program.
The Board of Directors participated in a weekend of strategic planning.
