Chris Mozell Fund

Chris Mozell (1984 - 2025) was born and raised in Golden, B.C. He was active in a number of sports throughout his school years, particularly in soccer, downhill skiing and basketball. Chris left Golden to attend school where he met his wife, Katie. Together they had four children.

Recognizing all the benefits, Chris and Katie encouraged their children to try different sports. They became active in soccer and hockey. Chris realized that sports not only helps to build strong bodies but also strong minds. Sports teams are important to develop many life skills including: cooperation, discipline, perserverance, problem solving, accountability, leadership and so much more. As Chris discovered, sports build friendships that last a lifetime, even when seperated by great distances.

In honour of Chris, this fund will be available for minor sports (individual or teams) to fund travel, equipment, skill clinics, training camps or insurance.
